SUPERBLAST is an international, Berlin based graphic artist and graffiti writer, working in culture and lifestyle. He discovered style writing around 1989 and is still hooked on it's energy and visual richness, which contributed to his strong visual sense. His style is tinted by his cultural backgrounds: Hip-Hop, Punk Rock and Skateboarding.

As a logical evolution of writing with spray paint, he started a career as graphic designer in 1999. While studying graphic design, he freelanced for several urban brands, had solo and collective art shows. In 2001 started a 2 year in-house collaboration with the European distributor of Ecko Unltd. 2003 was the year of a new beginning as a freelance graphic designer for several international brands. In 2004 he could shape his skills in the beautiful craft of creating letters, by attending lessons in Font design from the world-famous Luc(as) de Groot.

Since then he has taken part in many interesting and challenging projects. He contributes his artwork to brands or projects in culture and lifestyle scene. Ecko Unltd, Sony Playstation Portable, Nokia Nseries, Völkl Snowboards, Montana Cans, MethodsNYC and many more.

Also he created the visual package and art direction for 2 major European events: "Write4Gold -1st National Graffiti Battle" where he also sat as jury besides graffiti icons Quick, Jay1 and Bates. In 2005 "Hip Hop World Challenge" International Stylebattle in BBoying, Turntablism and Beatboxing events organized by BattleOfTheYear, ITF and BeatboxBattle with support of FIFA WM 2006.

His Graffiti work and graphic experimentations have also been widely presented in specialised magazines, books and websites like "Fadings: graffiti to design", Faesthetic, Backjumps Magazine, Stylefile Magazine, Lodowndotcom, ... as in Marc Ecko's "GETTING UP" videogame!

April 2008 his first book "Neo Utopia - The art & work of "SuperBlast" will be in stores around the globe. A one year overview of his hard work. Don't sleep on this one.

He is always creating graphical art for himself or solo/collective art shows and still is writing his name on different surfaces. We at PYROMANIAC are proud to have SUPERBLAST an artist of this caliber on our team for the Fall / Winter Collection 2008.
